"The internationally renowned Summer School offers short courses taught by leading LSE faculty. The programme was established in 1989 and has expanded extensively with more than 3,000 participants in 2007. The extensive range of courses covers the breadth of the social science expertise available at the LSE. Courses range from traditional core Economics and Finance subjects to those concerned with contemporary politics and management practice. Whichever course you choose will provide you with a valuable contribution to your chosen field, whether it be studying for a degree or in your professional career. The programme is based on regular undergraduate courses taught at LSE and therefore you will find the courses academically challenging and intellectually stimulating. Whilst many participants are current graduate or undergraduate students, the programme attracts significant professional representation. We regularly host representatives from the United Nations, European Union, and leading international banks. Lecturers are experts in their chosen fields and committed to providing the very best traditional rigour with contemporary relevance. Our faculty are actively involved in academic research and many act as advisers and consultants to companies and Government bodies. Most of our teaching is located in our award winning building, Clement House."
